I don't like this.

I try to cook healthy meals. I place a plate down in front of Trey and he immediately starts telling me what he does NOT like. "Mommy, I don't wike diss and diss." But look how cute he is when telling me the past hour of my life means nothing to him.

Oh Stacey, how I understand! I feel like this most nights! We have a rule in our house: you may not say that you don't like it or that it's "yukky" unless you know how to cook.

So 3 out of the 4 nights that I cook, they take one look at their plate and say. "I'm done!"

Keep trying! When he's a teenager you will likely have trouble keeping enough food around to feed him!

The other night Katherine told me the chicken pot pie I made was "disgusting." She has become very picky these past 6 months. Nick is picky as well, so cooking is often demoralizing. I don't often put much effort into meals these days, lots of short cuts here, because I find it a waste of time when the kids don't eat much. I keep saying I'll just start making yummy, exciting things just for Trev and I, but in reality it's hard to cook when you have a whiny toddler hanging on your leg as you are trying to make your way around the kitchen. Guess that's another issue, eh?

Aunt Val needs to teach that boy how to EAT! Haha! But I can understand snubbing his nose to the green stuff.... I sometimes do, too!
